READ is a musical show for elementary school children to keep them thinking about reading, and all of the benefits learning to read can bring to them.

Who Are We?

Among the three of us, we have degrees in literacy, music, adult education, science, communication and over twenty years of teaching experience in urban, and rural school districts. We have played professionally for nationally known entertainment companies, as well as in our own communities. We have a desire to bring fun, and a new look at education that inspires children to respect each other, and their teachers as well as to reach higher in their lives in and out of school.

What Does the Show Look Like?

This show can feature percussion instruments of many kinds. Drum kit, djembe, pots, pans, pipes, shakers, sticks, and various other instruments are some that you might see. We have Big Dan the Thunder Man playing the kit and other instruments as well as Donny Silver, the Messy Science Guy, who always needs help remembering to read the directions so he can get his experiments right. Last but not Least we have Big A+ who plays the keyboard, guitar, and sings. Our goal is to help the students, and staff of the school remember what reading is all about.
